I have heard Pontiac Police using them in simplex mode for
special ops.
Also the Sheriff's department has 3 state Tac channels they
use as mutual aid.

The trunked system is also using CTCSS tones on the inputs.
Actually they call it a connect tone and it's 97.4Hz.
Like a CTCSS tone a radio need this to key up their
repeater,
although it isn't passed through the repeater as a normal.
You will only see it on the input.The following are vehicle

on the rear quarter panel of their vehicles. The Oakland
